Why do you think language is so important? Language is the way of communication all around the world.It’s also part of a culture. People use language to understand each other, is a meaning of a word. Well, that’s why language is so important!! Language in Brazil is very different from other countries.Just to let you know, the language in Brazil is Portuguese.Portuguese is very different from other languages in the world. Spain, Portugal and few others languages are similar to Portuguese.For example, “Hi” is “Oi”;

Brazilian language can be strange to who is not Brazilian. The language also has some rules of with the writing. There are some things that come from the Indians and Africans.

To start with, Portuguese writing has rules for accents.  They are difficult and there are differences between the Portuguese in Portugal and Brazil. One of the accents is the “acento agudo” you use to make the letter louder. For example, “é” the accent symbol is the line on the top of the e. Another accent is the “tio” you use to make the letter softer for example “não” the symbol is the curvy line in the top of the letter a. Another accent is the “circunflexo”, you use to make the letter lower. For example, “avô” the little hat on top of the o is the accent. The difference between Portugal in written language is also in the way words are said. An example from Portugal is how they say the word Portugal. They say the R different from us and the L.

 Moving on, the Indians a long time ago ruled Brazil. Tupi Guarani was the language the Indians spoke and still speak. Indians and their languages were the main ones in  Brazil but now has changed to Portuguese. But,there still remain 200 tribal groups which  speak indigenous languages like Tupi Guarani. The Indians also spoke other  language families: Arawakan, Gê, and Carib. Indians are a great culture that we Brazilian have. A lot still live the same way and use their traditions like they used to. The Indians respect the people that are not Indians and we respect them as well.

 Last but not least, Africa had some communication with Brazil. Some Brazilian words have roots in african language. In conclusion, Portuguese and other Indian languages in Brazil are very unique from other languages, I hope you liked it and understood!! Bye- Bye! Tchau!
